1. MG Majestor Diesel

MG Majestor is one of the most awaited high-end SUVs to be launched in India by 2025 2026 and similar to the brand, it will be rather important in the offering of the diesel variant.

MG Motor India has recently opened up the Majestor that is a luxury, ladder-based, multi-seat SUV at Bharat Mobility Expo2025. The Majestor will be placed above the Gloster with a larges, more rugged and modernistic looks with plentiful luxury features starting at an estimated ₹40-45 lakh. At this size, equipments and technologies, MG is swinging at this segment leaders like the Fortuner and Meridian with a lot of confidence.

2. Hyundai Palisade Diesel 

The Hyundai Palisade is one of the much-anticipated luxury SUVs that are likely to enter the Indian market. It is now predicted to be launched in Late 20252026 and some reports suggest it would come as early as May 2026. As the flagship model of the Hyundai brand, the Palisade is a foray into a luxury full-size SUV segment that Hyundai is targeting directly with competition being the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and the Jeep Meridian. Its release is projected to be around 2025 2026 which is a key component to the Hyundai portfolio in India.

The Hyundai Palisade is an impressive vehicle that also features an aggressive design, contemporary capabilities, and VIP level comfort to become a decent competitor in the case of luxury SUVs in India. With its debut, Hyundai has plans to disrupt the traditional competitors and provide Indian consumers with a global SUV experience with the pedigree of the value and service that the company has to offer.

High-level interior with 7 or 8 seat configuration (with captain seats), twin 12.3-inch digital displays (infotainment, driver display), panoramic sunroof, ventilated/heated seats, tri-zone climate control, numerous USB-C connections, wireless charging, Bose/ Harman Kardon sound, a 360-degree camera, and LED ambient trim.


Engine Power :

  • Engine is 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel (R2.2), with an output of around 193 - 197 PS and 440 - 441 Nm of torque.
  • Mated to 8-speed auto transmission, FWD and AWD are available in the market.
  • It goes 0 to 100km/h in about 10.2 seconds in reaching its top speed of about 190km/h. A joint fuel consumption is about 14 km / l (7 l/100 km)

The car is projected to start at around 40 lakh (ex-showroom) and can* go as high as 50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end trims. It will be on-road priced depending on location.

3. Hyundai Tucson 2026 (Facelift)

Tucson Diesel To keep the Indian diesel spirit alive Hyundai is all set to launch its facelifted 2026 Tucson Diesel in India early next year (feb 2026) with its capable 2.0 litre, 8-speed auto Gear box and AWD variant. With a more aggressive grille, redesigned bumpers, and alloy wheels, the exterior itself is more aggressive. The interior is also refreshed with a new dashboard set up, steering-mounted gearchange, and refined user interface that enhance the driving experience.

The diesel version still gives up some of the latest technology, such as Level 2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, wireless charging, optional ambient lighting, and Blue-Link connectivity.


New Design/Update :

The exterior will receive a subtle yet an elegant update- a sharpened parametric grille, redesigned bumpers, smoother LED DRLs, and fresh alloys designs. Its modernized cabin will have updated dashboard layout, a gear lever with a steering column and all-new more polished HVAC interface.


Engine Power :

  • The 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine carries over, makes around 184 bhp and 416 Nm torque
  • 8-speed Manual/Automatic Gear Box. 
  • The premium diesel model will still have an AWD (4WD) Option.


Features/Safety Tech :

The facelift model will retain its top-end characteristics of Level 2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control, 360-degree surround camera, and ventilated front seats. Other standard features left in are the panoramic sunroof and wireless charging, ambient lighting, and the BlueLink connected car pack.


Expected Launch & Price :

The expected price range of the diesel facelifted/updated Tucson will begin with around 29 lakh and end around 36 lakh (ex-showroom) which is relatively competitive with the mid-size premium SUV segment.
