Hurry Government Announces 50% Discount on E-Challans : Read this

Karnataka Chief Minister Sri. Siddaramaiah, announced a special relief to the vehicle owners in the state. Between August 23rd To 12th September, individuals whose traffic fines ( E-Challans) are outstanding can pay half the amount, it means people only have to pay 50% amount.

According to the government, this action will benefit lakhs of citizens who had old challans pending since many years. A lot of vehicle owners could not afford the fines that were imposed. Through this discount, they are able to pay their dues.

Traffic police have hailed the move, as it will help clean up the road discipline. After paying up their arrears, people should be more cautious of the traffic rules. This action will also help the city reduce traffic offences.

The plan is also assumed to generate crores of rupees in terms of revenue that will be utilized towards improved traffic management, road safety, and city infrastructure.

 The announcement has received positive reaction by citizens. Others opined that not only does this move the company give people a chance to pay the old dues, but also teach people to be rule followers in future. Office workers and students also feel that easy movement of traffic will save their time and ease the stress.

The government intends to bring in a safer and more disciplined traffic system in Bengaluru with this initiative.
