In 2018 Harmanpreet became the first Indian woman to score a century in a T20 international. Her grand 103 against New Zealand during the ICC Women T20 world cup was the fodder towards the upsurge of women cricket in India. She is known to play very aggressively, and likes to swing the bat without bothering about defeats, as long as she wins the game.
Playing in excess of 150 games of T20Is and amassing over 3000 runs, she has been one of the most consistent performers and a leader in women cricket. Shafali Verma made the highest individual score of an Indian women by scoring 73 runs, however, Harmanpreet Kaur scored the Highest-ever T20I score by an Indian woman with a score of 103 runs in a single innings using only 51 balls. She did this in incredible fashion against New Zealand in the opening game of the ICC Women's World T20i 2018, in the West Indies.
Her batting performance was a clinic on how to hit the ball powerfully as well as using good judgment. Harmanpreet Hit 8 sixes and 7 fours and helped India to score a big total and remember the victory. Youngsters such as Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana, and Jemimah Rodrigues are breaking forth in Indian T20 women cricketing and things can just get brighter. Records are there to be overtaken and we can soon have a badge higher on the individual score of an Indian player soon.
Until that moment, perhaps the most heroic towards reaching the pinnacle of success by Indian women in cricket remained the knock of Harmanpreet Kaur, who still dares to believe in her teammates with all her heart and then dares to play unstoppably.
