Mahindra Vision T and Vision SXT are the concept cars, but they are not just concept cars, they are the vision of Mahindra toward the future. Tough and classy, technologically-savvy but hard-core, global yet still based on a lot of Mahindra SUV heritage. They are expected to be introduced in 2027-2028 and become the new representatives of off-road SUVs and Pickup Trucks,

Mahindra & Mahindra unveiled two awsome concept cars- Vision T and Vision SXT on the occasion of India Independence Day in 2025 and this became a part of its roadmap Vision 2027 of mobility approach. These are not just regular vehicles- these are outspoken assertions of design, technology, and flexibility.

Vision T : Muscular SUV -

The concept car, named Vision T, The design, with its boxy style and rugged looks--countered with split six-slat grille, bonnet latches, exposed hinges, squared-off wheel arches, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel--is similar to that of the Thar and its rugged history.

Design  :

  • As DNA Boxy shape, and a flat bonnet
  • Divided LED headlights and low clean tail-lights with LED Drl’s
  • A floating roof design, inbuilt luggage racks, roof hooks to accommodate carriers
  • Hooks on the tow, bulky off-road bumpers and A/T tyres
  • Interior & Tech System :
  • Vertical dashboard, simple and hard plastic materials
  • Digital instrument cluster: free standing and vertical touchscreen infotainment system
  • A 5-seater, panoramic sunroof and 3 spoke steering wheel, Start/Stop Button.
  • Performance Capabilities  :
  • ICE, hybrid, and EV powertrains supported (probably LFP battery technology)
  • Provides the options of  2WD/4WD
  • Remarkable off-road features.
  • Penta-link rear suspension and high ground clearance
  • Small turning radius 10.3 m.
  • 5-star Safty in GNCAP & Euro NCAP

Arriving Date ?

Mahindra suggests that the Vision T is likely to become a production model somewhere in the final quarter of 2027 or the first quarter of 2028.

Vision SXT, Adv Pickup Truck -

The Vision SXT is the pickup version of the Vision T, with the difference being that it is tough and built for adventure.

Design & Exterior :

  • The design and sharing is similar to Vision T up to the C-pillar but then becomes a pickup with flatbed, roll bars and twin spare wheels
  • Square posture, emerging arches, weighty bumpers, matte-black grille straps, skid shrouds and vertical tail lamps lend it a meaty and functional feel.
  • Styling has the lines of Vision T albeit with more rugged touches such as yellow accents and black surrounds.

Interior & Info. System :

  • The same upright dashboard design with digital driver display and a vertical infotainment screen
  • Varied colour combination: blacks, greys, silvers with heavy yellow accents on steering wheel, handles, seatbelts making it look young, playful in character

Off-Road Capabilities :

  • Enjoys the robust geometry of the Vision T: approach angle 28, departure angle 34.9 as well as a breakover angle of 28.2
  • Based on NU_IQ, extended to ICE, hybrid and electric, such as LFP sedan battery EV version

Vision SXT may enter production in 2028, sources say.

 Importance of this :

1. Both cars represent the first expression today of what Mahindra calls Heartcore-design philosophy: Bold, emotional, confident, and globally relevant.

2. Platform Flexibility: NU_IQ provides a foundation upon which future SUVs can be built with flexibility based on size, powertrain, drive layout and even the intended market.

3. Tech & Safety: These vehicles merge the necessity to move off-road with advanced technologies- digital cabins, touch-screen functionality, ADAS, connectivity and an elevated safety target.

4. Adventure-Ready Design: Boxy and rugged, the new models can be described as iconic, similar to the success of Thar but with a global potential.
